Nice and simple look but not too simple to put together. Very very heavy. Good price, so so quality. Came damaged and when I called the 1800 number provided they never answered. The form did have an email address I could've emailed but by that time I just gave up and kept it. Luckily most of the damage was towards the back. Drawers work nice. Looks nice.

White with Glass Ember Bed Dimplex Novara TV Stand with Electric Fireplace in Multiple Finishes Review

First of all, I really appreciated the other reviews, so I wanted to be sure I helped out, too. I'm so glad I ordered this and I love it. But, it's important to know that it scratches/dents very easily and that the diagrams are not correct. I put the outer part together myself, which I absolutely hate doing. It wasn't bad at all though UNTIL I got to the fireplace install. This is when I scratched and dented things trying to figure it out and was sweating profusely-it was not easy. There are no written directions and the diagrams are WRONG. The biggest mistake was showing the horizontal rectangular open space on the screen at the TOP of the diagram when it actually should be positioned UNDER the fire at the bottom. The correct picture would have made it so much easier, obviously. You also need to push the whole fireplace in from the back, then pull toward the front, which they don't tell you. You definitely need 2 people to do this.
I hope this helps as I know it would have helped me tremendously. Dimplex, if you are listening, please change your diagrams and include some written directives!

Update-Oct. 2013
So...I started using the heat function on the fireplace. It turns out that the horizontal opening MUST go at the top of the diagram to let the heat out. However, when I position it the way it is in the diagram, there is a fairly large space between the entire black screen and the top white shelf. It does not look that great, which is why I originally positioned it the other way, with the opening on the floor side. It fit the space perfectly and looked better. But, the heat can't really escape, of course.
So, I still stand by the fact that they really need written directions and clear diagrams. Things don't fit perfectly when it comes to the fireplace, no matter what you do. I still love it but I do wish the spacing was exact and installation easier-I still cringe when I think of my neighbor and me trying to pull it into place when there was seemingly no clear spot. We were literally pushing and pulling it over weird screws and spaces, praying it would fit. The good news is, I think we lost 5 pounds doing it! ;-)

Great design. It is mdf with veneer, not real wood which is exactly as advertised. Very sturdy. Took a long time to assemble but not because of bad instructions, there are just a lot of parts. (Starting with 40 wooden pins.) I probably won't take this with us if we moved but it is quite attractive, to get anything as nice in real wood would have been more than twice the price. I'm happy with the purchase.

Ordered on "Cyber Monday" (through Amazon), shipped out on Friday and arrived on the following Monday.

The box arrived nicely padded by wood and foam on the inside, yet completely ratty looking on the outside. The wood itself is much, much darker than pictured. It almost matches my Cherry desk, yet is not as red. (I tried to upload a picture, but the color was way off after Amazon's compression.)

For assembly, you start with inserting all of the screws and pegs first, so make sure you have enough surface space for all the parts laying scattered about. At one point near completion, the directions have you flip the unit entirely upside-down. Having a helper is recommended.

Instructions proved sufficient and all but two pieces were labeled with stickers. Overall, quite pleased with the unit once assembled.

The best piece of flat pack furniture I ever put together. Good instructions are easy to follow. Better than expected quality of materials. Nice solid piece of furniture.
