SEI Coventry Antique-Black Large Television Console Review

Pros:
- Reasonable price (for this type of furniture)
- Open spaces for your electronics (lets heat dissipate), rather than enclosed
- Drawer can be left out to create 3rd open shelf and still looks "finished"
- Not overly complex to assemble (i.e. not a particularly large amount of hardware for furniture this size)
- Holes pre-drilled in the back of the drawer in case you want to keep a game console there
- Mostly wood construction, only flimsy pieces are back panel and drawer bottom (typical)
- Customer service and technical assistance in US (Dallas Texas), numbers clearly printed in directions

Cons:
- Couple of minor dings (OK, I can touch the small ones up with a black marker)
- A rather large ding on prominent top piece, I am contacting SEI to obtain replacement piece (will update with results)
- Instructions leave a bit to be desired, not all my pieces were labeled (but some were), some pieces are easy to reverse
- My parts bag was torn open, parts scattered in the box (but all there)
- Fit of doors is hit-or-miss, not always 'square' in the openings, you can mitigate this some by lifting on one side or the other (the unit will flex slightly)
- The dowels that support the shelves in the cabinets are not level with each other, as a result one shelf is not stable and will "rock" slightly. For me this is only one one side, and only in one of the 3 possible height positions (the middle one - which is really where I want the shelf).

Misc:
- Made in Vietnam.
- About 70-80lbs.

UPDATE: I called SEI's customer support line regarding the damaged top piece I received. I was able to speak to a human without too much automation, and she arranged for a new top piece to be shipped to me no questions asked and no charge. I received it and the replacement piece was in perfect shape. So, I'll upgrade my rating to 4 stars due to the good customer service.

Tvilum Hayward 71" TV Stand in Black Woodgrain Review

Product: If you have ever bought anything from IKEA and had to assemble yourself you know that it is a pain in the rear. The product was easy to assemble after assembling, but it took over 3 hours to put togethor because there was know directions to read from. It just had a bunch of pictures also the items itself were not labeled as to A, B, C, D; at least they could of done that to make looking for which piece much easier to do the next step. The material is cheap, you have to be careful the wood easily chips and dents. After setting up, it is a nice piece but with all the work put in this and how easily the material chips and dents the price is asking way to much. This should of been $100 and $150 is pushing it.

Sauder TV Stand With Optional Mount in Jamocha Wood Review

Over the years, I 've purchased multiple Sauder products when I need a cheap piece of furniture.
Usually satisfied with the results.
The bottom drawer rails do not align with the holes in the front. It just sits in there. Design flaw.
There is also a trim piece that is too long on top that gets damaged trying to squeeze it in place.

I recommend passing on this one.

Everything the company did for this order is first rate.

Very nice workmanship on the item and was packaged so well I doubt anything could have ever gotten broken.

My problem is the METAL swivel on the bottom of the whole unit, not just the top platform you have the TV on. This is a problem for 2 reasons; one is that you can not anchor down the unit and the second is the swivel unit on the bottom is going to scratch a lot of different surfaces.

Had to take the swivel off and use without which is a bummer to say the least.

I opened the box, expecting to find a set of instructions to follow, but all they have inside is a very blurry exploded diagram.
Since there are a lot of pieces, some large and some very small, it is not intuitive how to use them all, and the diagram does NOT show you how to use them either.
I managed to figure out how to assemble the basic mount and shelves, but there were a lot of pieces left over, which I would guess should have been used.
My TV is mounted and the 2 shelves are holding devices, so I guess I figured it out enough to serve my purpose.
The only feature I really liked about this mount was the built-in level. That was a huge help in mounting it properly.
