I spend a lot of time comparing online product descriptions and customer reviews, and I did so when selecting the Crosley LaFayette 48-inch TV stand in classic cherry color. Despite my initial misgivings due to some of the negative reviews posted here, I'm glad I went ahead and hit that "buy" button, because I simply could not be happier with this purchase.

First of all, the assembled TV stand is absolutely gorgeous, and it matches well with cherry bookcases we have in our den. It has a solid, substantial feel to it. All the doors and interior shelves align perfectly for a high-quality, finished look.

Second, every part fit together for me smoothly, snugly, seamlessly, and (most often) easily. I had none of the problems reported by others about poorly drilled, mismatched, or unaligned holes. In fact, the measurements are so precise that the four legs don't wobble a bit on our hardwood floor, and there is no "daylight" visible in seams where pieces join. The locking cams were sometimes a bit tight, but they all screwed in with a little effort. In just a few cases, I had some difficulty putting in wood screws (as you often do in any such assembly); a little WD-40 solved that issue quickly. Only one piece had a slight flaw: A separately attached little wooden block was loose, as if the glue didn't quite take. During assembly, though, the looseness of that small block made no difference, because it was pressed snugly against another piece of the unit.

Third, the "hardware" all came intelligently packaged, clearly labeled and numbered in separate compartments of a single plastic form -- not just tossed together in little plastic bags with twist-ties. There were a few extras parts thrown in, too, which came in handy when I accidentally broke one due to my own ineptness.

Fourth, I found the assembly instructions to be simple, clear, systematic, and accurate. I managed to open the packaging, separate all the well-labeled pieces, then put the whole thing together myself, without assistance, in a little over three hours, taking my time.

Fifth and finally, the unit's pieces and parts were shipped together inside a large cardboard packing carton, with a second insulating carton inside, each part shielded from the others (and outside damage) with abundant styrofoam blocks and sheets. Though the exterior carton showed a few tears, not a single part inside was scratched or damaged in any way. (For some reason, the short legs of the unit, visible in the product photo, were shipped separately and arrived a day earlier, with their own sheet of instructions.)

My wife and I both love the unit. It's the perfect perch for our new 43" Samsung TV, and a handsome addition to our den. The interior has multiple shelves, five of which have adjustable heights. I immediately spaced the bottom two spaces in the side compartments at heights to hold DVDs. This left a smaller opening above the DVDs, which proved to be the perfect size to hold rows of CDs.

We couldn't be happier or more impressed with the appearance and workmanship, or with the shipping speed and packaging. For the price, the Crosley LaFayette 48" TV stand is an outstanding bargain, and in cherry, it looks beautiful.

This unit looks fantastic, it was packaged really well, fairly easy to assemble and had no dents or scratches.
I was very pleased to see it was made in Canada and not China like so many other things.
The only thing I would change would be to add half an inch to the height of the top shelf, it was just too narrow to take my home theater PC and I ended up having to put it on the bottom shelf (which is plenty big enough).
Overall, very satisfied with this product, be warned it's big!

Level Mount DC50LP Fixed Wall Mount for 26" to 50" Displays (Black) Review

This was very easy to install. I gave it a 3 in ease of use because when you mount it, you hardly have clearance between the wall and the TV to secure the bottom part of the mount using the levers. My wife and I struggled with this. I ended up adding the included spacers, which made things a bit easier. Once you secure the bottom levers you are good to go as far as mounting is concerned, however, if you didn't connect the A/V sources you WILL have a hard time hooking up the cables depending on the location of your TV's A/V inputs. If you get the tilt mount, you'll have more clearance for doing this, and you can lock it straight if you don't want to tilt at all.

Chief MWRUB Flat Panel Swing Arm Wall Mount for 30-55-Inch Displays Review

Just purchased and installed the Chief MWR. As stated, this is a professional piece of equipment, I used it to mount a 54-inch Panasonic G10 Plasma screen in my bedroom. The screen weighs almost 90 pounds. The materials and construction of this mount are exceptional, but the instructions leave a great deal to be desired. This kit seems to be aimed at the professional market, and that is certainly reflected in the build quality.

Several install tips, although the Chief comes with an impressive hardware kit, it is a "universal" mount and I did have to head to my garage more than once to find washers that were not included in the mount kit. Also, do not assume you have studs on 16-in centers. Mine were at 17-inches and this was at the very limit of what this mount can handle. Measure before you buy. Finally, the mount is highly adjustable, and you will have to do a great deal of measuring, adjusting, and remeasuring the mount so it is exactly centered on the wall where you want it. Once you lift that TV and "hang" it on the mount, you don't want to have to take the TV off the mount again and make fine adjustments. If you simply "center" the mount between two studs, the actual center of your TV will be about 6 inches off. The mount is very easy to adjust to make up that 6-inches, but you want to make that adjustment BEFORE you hang the TV. Also, don't assume the center of the mount will be the center of your TV. On my Panasonic, the mounting lugs are at the bottom third of the TV, not in the center. Ultimately this install is a bit like playing chess, you need to think 2-3 steps ahead. All of this could be fixed with a better set of instructions. Bottom line, It is an excellent mount, swing arm is fantastic, and the mount is rock-solid, no regrets, but installation is non-trivial.

amazing! easy! can't believe i didn't mount my TV sooner.

well... technically, this system of LED LCD tv wall mount wasnt even available yet when i bought my samsung 7100 in 2009. a year or so later, the new models came out and i was just floored at the beautiful and simple way these new tvs could be mounted. i didnt even think i could retro fit mine, but a few months later, i was doing some research and i saw that my tv actually had the same mounting screws as the newer tvs! again back to the research and i see that samsung is selling the kits for 150-250 bucks! seemed pricey but i was willing to spend a few bus transfers to improve the living room. cut to a little more research and i found this wall mount kit for under $30. as far as i can tell, it is nearly identical to the samsung oem wall mount kit. the samsung kit uses a thicker wire. unnecessarily tho. the wire used is some aerospace craziness that can support 1,200 lbs. also slightly different, the directions. this cheap kits directions are non-existant. watch the youtube video on how to mount. it is really incredibly simple, but so you dont drill holes in the wrong place, just watch the video.

i did a couple of small improvements... drilled out the circular disks to fit larger screws to the wall so i could use the better metal drywall plugs. probably not necessary, but my walls are lathe and plaster and wanted a bit of added security in the land of earthquakes.

this kit comes with spacers. if you have a 2009 model you wont need them. also, maybe it was me, but the long screws were TOO long for use with the spacers and the short screws too short. so i only had one option... not to use the spacers. and as it turns out, didnt need them.
