The specs state the mount will be 4" from wall when retracted but it's more like 6". Not only that, but it states that it will extend to 22", but really it's only about 15". Even worse, you can only have it full retracted, or fully extended, nothing in-between. It will work for the use I purchased it for, but with a few tweaks this could have been an excellent mount, instead it's just serviceable.

If Level Mount wants to improve this product they should add the following features:

1. A home position other than "open/close". The "Home" position would allow you to set a position that the monitor returns to when "closed"

2. More memory positions. Most mounts of this expense have at least three memory positions. Having only a single position is pretty limiting.

3. Allow the mount to be only partially extended rather than either fully retracted or fully extended. I'd really like to have my mount somewhere between 6" and 15".

4. Allow at least tilt to be set even when mount is closed (i.e. fully retracted). My mount will actually spend probably 90% of it's life in the "closed" position. We had to use homemade shims to put a permanent tilt on the monitor so that it's viewable in it's "closed" position. I only extend and turn the mount for special functions, like when I'm gaming (point the monitor at my gaming chair), or when we have people over to watch a big game (provides a larger viewing area).
