Bush Furniture Riverwood TV Stand, Satin Black Review

I actually picked this up online for $321 shipped to a local Wal Mart. Besides the usual (very heavy, nice and sturdy, good quality, long assembly time), I'll add something new: Have a pickup truck with you if you have to transport it! I was hoping I could get it in my Accord. After 20 minutes and with the help of 3 people, I was able to get the whole thing in my car. We had to open up the box in the parking lot and put it in piece by piece. The box is 28"x63"x8" and weighs enough to need 2 strong, or 3 people to lift it. I also had to air out my house overnight because the smell of the fresh new paint on all the pieces was extrememly strong. I also had to drive home with my car windows down because the smell was unsafe for freeway driving. I have not assembled the unit yet, but I've put together Bush furniture before and I was very pleased with the assembly quality. Based on other reviews, I expect this one to be no different, and because of the price I got this for, I give it 5 stars!

Tvilum Hayward 55" TV Stand in Black Woodgrain Review

The quality is standard ikea-like. Mine arrived in two packages, the smaller one was very protected packages, and the wood arrived in perfect condition. The bigger and heavier one was less protected, and arrived with a dent on the top of the unit, and a corner a little crushed. Fortunately, the dent is now hidden under the TV stand, and I painted the corner with a sharpie, so the damages are difficult to notice. Considering it was no big deal and the packages are heavy, I didn't contact the seller for a return, but I would suggest more protective packaging.

The Peerless PC932C LCD ceiling mount is a fantastic product. It's extremely durable made of all metal and very easy to assemble. The instructions will take a little studying and figuring out which screws go where because it isn't exactly crystal clear and the screws are combined into 3 seperate unmarked bags, but it's not really too hard to figure out. It comes with an allen wrench and all the necessary hardware you'll need except a drill bit and a drill to attach it to the ceiling. I hung my 32" Sharp Aquos LCD in a little under an hour. It has a great tilt and swivel feature and is easy to adjust. Overall I'd easily rate this product 5 stars. The picture shown for this product on the Amazon page is different than what it actually looks like but I posted my own customer image of the actual mount.

This is a great product. It mounts almost all 13" to 26" TVs. However, as mentioned in the description, it is Low-Profile, which means that you will get limited angle adjustment, because the TV will hit the wall. The construction is very solid (as expected from a Best Buy company, Rocketfish). It has a handy quick release allen head screw for easy removal and installation of the TV from the mount (ideal for RVs). It was also pleasant to mount the mount. Fit and worked as advertised havent put on the plastic cover yet , but it fit and worked well for my tv.

Overall I'm happy with this purchase. Be warned though, this is made to be mounted on a high ceiling. I wanted to mount this in my basement gym and be able to rotate it for when I'm doing laundry, etc. However, my basement ceiling is a low 7-8'. This mount has a ~4ft tube with another ~3ft telescoping shaft on the inside. The bracket that mounts to the TV only mounts to the smaller inside tube so the highest you can mount the center line of the TV is a good 4-5ft from the ceiling. I ended up tossing out the inside tube and modifying the bracket to fit on the larger tube which also required drilling new holes on the larger tube and cutting off the a few inches of excess tubing.

Also, the top mount is a hole with a plastic bushing. The large tube has a flange that sits in the hole which is what allows it to pivot 360 degrees. With this design however, the tube will never sit vertical, the weight of the TV tilts the tube giving a ~15deg angle at the minimum, which makes the variable tilt start at that angle and go further - don't expect a completely vertical viewing angle.

Again, I don't have any regrets as this is the only mount I found with a full 360 degree rotation and the cost was very reasonable.

P.S. I mounted this with a 40" TV.

Prior to purchasing the item, I carefully reviewed manufacturer specifications to ensure that it would hold my 50" LG which is a heavier unit. Several days later, after spending a considerable amount of time assembling the unit, it was time to mount the TV however it was clearly not sturdy enough to support the weight, even though TV was 20 lbs lighter than the specification indicated stand was capable of holding. The entire unit leaned forward significantly.

As luck would have it, I had already gotten rid of the box and was forced to visit several furniture stores in order to find a box large enough to ship the return back to Amazon. I'm still waiting for the refund, 2 weeks later!
