So I will try to keep this as clear as possible.

We found this entertainment center here on Amazon, and I had read through the reviews, looked at more pictures of the unit up close through Google images and it looked really nice, it really did and we loved what we saw.

I read that it had some particle veneer pieces, but I wasn't expecting the whole thing to made out of particle board. The quality of this entertainment center reminds of the first all particle board unit I bought from Target. Anyways during assembly, we *carefully* put in screws and the particle board was splintering left and right, so I ignored that and moved on. However later when I went to put the top piece(technically the only piece of real wood on the unit) The top wouldn't level out, the screws meant to pull down the pegs wouldn't tighten, etc. It was at that point I looked at my wife and said this is going back.

Ok here are the details. The unit is made almost entirely of particle board with a veneer. Only the top, the frame or edges of the left and right sides(e.g. the legs) were real wood, and the doors. Other than that, the bottom of the unit is particle board with a veneer, the inner shelving is particle board with a veneer, and the sides only had real wood framing otherwise the middle portion was particle board. To say the least we didn't even finish assembling it. I promptly went to my computer and setup a return with Amazon(Yes, my wife and I were actually able to repackage the whole thing).

I would say if you are considering buying this, I would pass. This entertainment center is really rickety and I don't think it would have made it through a move. But if you're okay with it being made out of particle board, then by all means buy it, otherwise I would definitely pass on this.
