Philips OEM PHI/334 Mitsubishi 915B455011 DLP Replacement Lamp with Housing Review

Installed this lamp in my Mitsubishi 73" DLP TV (WD-73C11) about a week ago without issue. Packaging was solid and so was the product. Almost no difference in build quality between this and the stock OEM bulb it was replacing. Instructions were minimal to say the least but there isn't much involved installing one of these things so long as it has the lamp housing which this did and was the main reason I bought it.

If you're trying to save some bucks by just buying the bare bulb I wouldn't recommend it. Really sucks to have a bulb blow up on you or melt your housing because it wasn't installed/cleaned properly. Its not rocket science or anything to do mind you, just to easy to screw up IMO. The bulbs also have mercury in them so make sure to dispose of them properly and not just toss them in the trash.

7/22/2013 follow up:

Still working good so far. I've noticed it takes a little longer for this bulb to warm up and produce a bright image than my old bulb but that is OK. Reading around on these DLP TV sets it seems if you turn the contrast down you tend to get significantly better bulb life. Guess I'll find out how that goes.
