I bought this stand because of the other reviews and, because I had a very large TV to put on it. The description said it's made of some kind of "certified" wood. The shipping/delivery was very prompt. The stand's finish was a nice black woodgrain. All was well, until... We found that this stand was made of COMPRESSED "certified" wood; also known in the USA as particle board. The hardware was thrown into a plastic sealed bag. We discovered that they shorted us half of the screws for the door hinges and latches ( Home Depot to the rescue- no 14 x 1/2 screws, so we had to improvise). The veneer was very delicate and chipped with the slightest bump. We reinforced the top just to be sure it will support 132 lbs( i have my doubts) and, we're going to be very careful with it. For the price (with free delivery), not a bad deal. I would recommend spending a little more for a better built product.
