I ordered this item because, unlike most people, I don't have a TV. What I have is a 27" flat screen monitor -- which is a few years old -- and I plug it into my laptop to play DVDs and watch shows on the internet. I also have a pair of good portable speakers, also plugged in to my laptop.
I keep this along with other electronic paraphernalia by my bedside (cell phone charger, palm Pilot charger, heating pad, etc.) As you can imagine, it is quite a juggling act to keep all the wires from getting tangled -- and moving things without knocking something over when I am making my bed or dusting or vacuuming is more often failed than succeeded.

I finally decided to get something mobile to put everything on and searched for what was available.

Well, I found this item. It seemed perfect. I could put everything on it, plug the electronics to the power strip that comes with it and just have one power cord to go to the wall socket (or in my case a second power strip.) Just unplug one plug and the whole thing could wheel away with all the electronics remaining intact.

Plus it had this feature of a slide out shelf to put the laptop on so when I wasn't using it, I could just tuck it in on the shelf as the shelf slid in.

And what I ultimately got was far more amazing and of higher quality than I ever expected.

This cart is really made for commercial and business purposes. But it is sleek and elegant. It is somewhat dominating in its form, but I have a large bedroom (12' x 17') and the furniture, though very modern, is quite solid and can stand up visually to the heft of this cart.

But the best features are the wheels, the power cord and the sliding shelf for the laptop.

The cart is effortless to move. I now roll it from my bedroom around a lot of bends through narrow hallways to my living room when I feel like watching DVDs there. I know that most people have a big flat screen TV in the living room and probably a smaller one in the bedroom. But as I said, I don't have TV and this set-up was what I opted for.

I cannot believe that such a large heavy bulky item can roll and twist around narrow corners with such ease. These wheels glide over everything and make sharp turns effortlessly. It takes me less than 2 minutes to roll the cart 60 feet in winding turns, around my bed, through a narrow hall, around a couple of bends until I reach my living room. There is zero deterrence to doing it.

The power strip, when I first looked at it, seemed like a joke. It is a small inexpensive power strip with only 4 outlets and then this thick 25' long cord to plug in. But they have it designed well. The power strip fits into a convenient slot on the back of the cart to hold it in place and the power cored can wrap around that so you can have as long or as short a wire as you want.

So I never have to unplug it in my bedroom to roll it away. It only gets unplugged when I roll it into the living room.

So this item is well worth it. And it comes in various sizes for larger screens.

My warning about what you get shipped. The manufacturer ships it directly to you, not the reseller. The manufacturer tried to unload a used damaged one on me and when I got in touch with the reseller, I got a song & dance about how I had to have pictures and it would be a few weeks if they decide to replace it etc.

I said if they did not send out a replacement that was new within 48 hours, I would file a complaint with Amazon, have Amazon refund the money and let Amazon deal with them.
They shipped out a replacement the next day. This is why I buy as much as I can from or though Amazon.
