Sauder Orchard Hills 1 Door Television Stand Review

I had a worn-out, two-shelf tv stand. I bought it when all I had was a tv and a vcr. My electronics have grown considerably and the two-shelf stand was looking pretty bad. I bought this because of the price and knew it had to look better than what I had. Not only does it look better, it looks great. I put the dvr on the top shelf with an external disc on top of it, the surround receiver on the second shelf and a laptap (which I watch tv with occassionally) on the third shelf. My tv is a 48" plasma on the mantle so I put knick-knacks and candles on top where the tv would normally go. When I get a longer HDMI cord, I will move the Roku there, also.

Unlike some reviewers, we had no problems whatsoever putting it together. And everything fits in it nicely even the surround receiver which is pretty old and clunkier than the newer ones. Of course, it isn't going to look and feel like a $1,000-$2,000 piece of furniture but for the price, it is solid and heavy and should last as long as I want to keep it. I did put it on sliders so I can pull it out easily without putting stress on it or scratching the floor. TIP: It is easier to put it on sliders BEFORE you hook up all your stuff.
