Sauder Orchard Hills Corner TV Stand - Carolina Oak Review

Ordered this nice TV stand from Cymax, an Amazon vendor. The price was $30 less than at Nebraska Furniture Mart's online ordering service. The free shipping arrived in 3 days. Ordered on a Sunday evening and it was shipped on Monday and arrived on Wednesday. Very impressive for a 70 lb item, Kudos to FedEx.

The stand itself went together quickly, and the instructions were in real American English. The finish was quite nice, and matched the finish on our hardwood floor in our family room. It was made with nice thick side panels and shelves. The brass finish handles on the doors are quite attractive.

The only caution is that the width of the lower shelves is only 17 inches. Barely wide enough to hold our vintage audio equipment. Measure your stuff first, then order.

Considering the price, the quick shipment, and the quality of the product in this price range. Way to go Sauder, Amazon, Cymax, and FedEx.

SEI 52-Inch TV and Media Console, Espresso Review

I started looking for a tv stand in Circuit City. They didn't have anything I thought was appealing. Bestbuy had some nice items, but they were way too expensive for anything decent.

I was a little skeptical ordering this from Amazon as I couldn't see it in person to see the quality in person, but I gambled and bought it. This stand for under 300 dollars I believe is much nicer quality than the 500-600 dollar ones @ Best buy! Easy to assemble, appealing, and high quality. The wood wasn't that cheap compressed stuff that a lot of manufacturers use.

I don't know how this would work with a crt (tube) tv, but the description above clearly states flat screens.

I did the free trial of Amazon Prime, and this arrived within one day of shipping, and within 2 of purchase!

First, let me say that this wall mount is exactly the type of mount I like to use. It is very easy to install and keeps the TV close to the wall.

Personally, I don't like gadgety wall mounts that pull in and out or angle the TV different ways since they are harder to mount so they look level. Those more complicated mounts also don't keep the TV as flush with the wall as simpler mounts like this one. I know that some people really have a need for the more complicated mounts; but I don't think most home users do.

Anyway, the method used by this mount to keep the TV level works great; but, I found that it introduces a new problem, which is why I'm giving this 4 stars instead of 5. The problem is this mount makes it much easier to level the TV at the expense of making it harder to center from left to right.

I guess it just depends on your personallity for which type of mount you would prefer. If you are the type of person that will spend an extra 20 minutes making sure the mount itself is perfectly level, then you probably don't need this anyway - and a traditional mount will give you the added benefit of allowing the TV to slide left and right a bit to keep it perfectly centered. If you aren't great at leveling things on the wall or prefer to just do some minimal measuring before throwing the mount up, then this mount was made for you!

"Explain Single link (18-pin) vs. Dual link (24-pin):

The DVI cables are available in DVI-D Single-Link and Dual-Link as well as DVI-I Single-Link and Dual-Link format connectors. These cables send information using a digital information format called TMDS (transition minimized differential signaling). Single link cables use one TMDS 165Mhz transmitter, while dual links use two. The dual link effectively doubles the power of transmission and provides an increase of speed and signal quality; i.e. a single link 60-Hz LCD can display a resolution of 1920 x 1080 (enough for HDTV) , while a dual link can display a resolution of 2048 x 1536. There is some confusion as to dual link cables being superior to single link cables. Sonax RX-5500 Rio 55-Inch Midnight Black TV Stand with Two Glass Shelves Review

As of May 24, 2013 I received the product. they had on 4 corners of the box, padded materials strapped all along the 4 sides of the box on the and inside there were big padded materials as well, the wood, glass were all intact, except there was a couple of the black plastic rings that goes in the back of the entertainment center where you slide your cables, wires through, were broken. Wasn't all too upset, because it happens. can't let small things get to ya. Did notice the manilla envelope was opened that contained the 3 plastic rings. All the "nuts and bolts" as counted, but you will have to have your own tool to set it up. Just to let you know there is a strong odor once you open the box. I left it in a room and had the fan circulate the room with air. So I called Amazon and talked to one of their representative, gave her the part number that was broken and she was very nice to call the company up for me and to have it sent to my house within 5 to 10 business days. I will update on how the installation went later.

Installed the product by myself in about 45 minutes to a hour and I'd have to say it was very easy! Just need to pay attention on what you 're doing, look at the picture. When you're all done in assembling, there are 4 clear hard plastic pieces you use to piace in 4 little holes to put the glass shelf on. it's takes a little patience, wouldn't force it straight in. Just align the piece to the hole and twist and turn a little left and right, 11'o clock to 1'o clock as you push and it fits very good. There was a very small chip that broke away when screwing in the bottom stand. Will use a black marker to cover it up.

Love the product! Eye level matches close to the center to the lower part of the screen.
