Fits my large A/V components (although just barely). Hold the weight of my A/V components (again, just barely). I would recommend this because of its looks and functionality. FYI, I have 90lbs of components on the bottom shelf and about 50lbs on the middle shelf. My deepest components are about 20 inches deep, they stick out about 1/2 an inch in the front of the TV stand, but it doesn't look bad.
