Not universal!!! I tried to mount my projector and thought I was just stupid... Then my dad and brother who are tech and mechanical geniuses couldn't make it work. With my dremel and a few screws from my random screw box we were able to get it mounted, but there is no tilting it up or down. Also I can't remove my filter without removing it from the ceiling. Sooo would not buy this if I knew how big of a pain it would be.
