You get what you pay for. I had a difficult time putting this together. I broke a shelf when taking the first step and connecting the shelves to the side boards. The wood chipped off by the dowel holes. I glued it together with Gorilla glue. I like the height for viewing TV in bed. The shelves underneath the TV are not wide enough to hold my Dish receiver. The almost- cardboard cover in the back does not cover all of the back as shown in the picture so the wires show. I just stacked books on the shelf to hide the wires.
