I must admit that I didn't give this a five star because I had to drill an extra hole, because it was about 1/4" from fitting, but just couldn't be done without drilling a hole in the vertical bracket. For some reason, on one end they used holes, and on the other end they used adjustable oval holes, apparently so nobody would do what I did, but it was just so close I was not going to be outdone, and lost no stability or strength in support as I drilled into studs. I don't think it would have mattered if it had just been plaster or drywall. I think with the bolts and spacers and drywall screws they provided, it would hold at least another 60lbs on top of the 40lbs I hung from it with my 47". I guess it's what you are comfortable with.
