FMS01 Mounting Bracket for Flat Panel Display, A/V Equipment Review

I bought this to attach to the Sanus DFV50. I'm happy with how my TV looks mounted on it, as I wasn't able to mount my TV to the wall as I first hoped. I also like how it has a "full motion" mount, so a mounted TV can be both tilted up or down or angled left or right. A few points:

- The TV sits further out from the back of the FMS01 than I expected, due mostly to the pivot mechanism that allows it to be rotated left and right.

- Unlike the up and down tilt, the side to side motion can't be locked. This is likely good if you plan on re-angling your TV often, but I found it to rotate a bit too easily, even with the weight of the TV, so would have preferred there to be a lock. My concern is that the TV might hit the wall if it were bumped, as it is mounted near a doorway.

- The brackets that attach to the back of the TV are heftier than I had expected, but I'm thinking that's a good thing.

- Spacers are included if you need some room between the back of your TV and the attached brackets.

- It comes with a few velcro loops to route cables down the back of the FMS01, but I wish more were included. I do like how you can attach equipment to the back of the FMS01 to keep it out if sight, although I'm currently not using that feature.

- I was surprised that the brackets that hang the TV on the mount aren't fixed in place on the plate they hang upon. That said, the weight of the TV makes it hard to slide back and forth and there are stops at the ends to keep the TV from sliding off. I'm also not sure if this is standard fare for TV mounts in general, as this is my first.

- I like how the FMS01 can be used with multiple Sanus stands, as an option for the future.
