Have been shopping for the right CORNER stand and this is it. Purchased at local furniture store sale (in a darker stain) and was relieved, after finding same stand on Amazon, to find that price was better than offered here (a rarity). Stand is SUBSTANTIAL in size and weight and comes fully assembled. Previous reviewer commented on stand being too high for a 52 inch tv, but we looked at several stands side-by-side and all were the same height. Initially considered stands with doors, then saw this and heavy/sturdy look won us over. Would work well in households will small children; easy access to shelf contents perhaps (shelves are deep), but no worries about constant opening/slamming of doors or pinching little fingers. Bonus: MADE IN USA!
