I was looking for an affordable wall mount for my new 47" LG6500 TV that would add that "Wow" factor to my home theater setup. I shopped around and came across a Vizio motorized mount that was somewhat affordable (over $100). Unfortunately, you can't find Vizio motorized mounts anymore and if you can they are used or refurbished but still around $100. Then I saw the "WallWizard TC105B Motorized Tilt Mount" the price was right $89 but was reluctant to purchase since there weren't any reviews on it yet. I finally pulled the trigger and made the purchase...so glad I did. The WallWizard comes with everything you need to mount your TV to studs or brick. I mounted ours over a fireplace and the the only thing the kit doesn't include is a concrete drill bit. No big deal, got one at Ace Hardware for $2. Installation was straightforward, although if you aren't very handy it would be best to call someone to help with the installation. To automate the tilt when you turn on your TV simply plug in the supplied SPDIF cord from the motorized mount to your TV. If the SPDIF is already in use on your TV go pick up a SPDIF splitter for $5 and you'll be good to go. Power on TV, the TV is tilted down, Power off and the TV goes back. Awesome! You can also fine tune the adjustments and they also included a small remote control for tilt adjustments. The remote will come in handy during the winter months when we have a fire going and don't want the TV tilted down or if we have friends over to watch the game. When considering all the mounts available on the market today, spending an extra $15 to get a quality motorized mount that is versatile and will keep hands away from the TV when viewing angle adjustments are needed is well worth it in my mind. I can't imagine spending $100 on a mount that doesn't have any options but to hang a TV on the wall. The WallWizard is a great product, very affordable and has options other mounts do not have.
